PSALMS: A Prayer for Every Season
Prayer is the way through which you and I are called to relate to God - in this season and in every season of your life.
In a church like ours, there are so many wonderful and challenging things happening all the time and even at the same time across the church family - births, engagements, new jobs, house moves, unemployment, difficult work situations, unanswered prayers, sin in our own hearts and serious health challenges.
Whatever season you currently find yourself in, and whatever emotions you are feeling, there is a Psalm for you. As Alec Motyer has said, ‘All life, in all its variety and complexity, is represented here. Yet all this multiplicity can be brought under one heading: ‘take it to the Lord.’
So it is that over the course of July and August, we will be looking at how the Psalms can help us to pray.
The Lord wants us to have a real relationship with him. He wants us to bring the full range of our emotions to him and the Psalms are so helpful for that.
Join us over the summer as we look at the Psalms: A Prayer for Every Season.
