We are really excited to be welcoming Carrick to our children and youth team. Carrick is joining our church, as a placement on the ‘be transformed’ course run by SWYM – South West Youth Ministries. He will be involved in the running of children’s and youth work, and will be committed in particular to 4-7’s on a Sunday morning. We are so excited for this year for Carrick, and for the way God will bless this placement 🙂
It was great to have Dave and Emma Rogers with us on 4 September and for many in the church to meet Dave for the first time and to hear him preach. Dave is currently a pastor at Ascot Life Church, one of our sister churches within Commission, and we have been in conversation with him about moving to Exeter to become full-time pastor for some months now.
As elders, trustees and staff we feel very positive about the possibility of Dave coming to join and lead us forward into the next phase and we know that Dave and Em feel the same way too.
We have planned for Dave to be with us at least twice more this term so that we can get to know him better and to hear more of his heart. He will be at Church Together on Wednesday 5 October, and will also be with us for the weekend of 12 and 13 November when he will be preaching on the Sunday.
All being well, we hope to be in a position to make a decision and job offer to Dave before Christmas so that…
